So this week has been great. When they say the MTC is the best place to be during the holidays they weren't kidding! JEFFERY R. (A.K.A THE MAN, A.K.A THE SPIRITUAL HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMPION) Holland spoke to us on Thanksgiving. I have never been so close to someone I love and respect in the church like a celebrity! haha! just kidding it was such a good message though. It really reconfirmed my choice in serving a mission. He spoke to us about the Prophets of Old who saw that they would be killed for their convictions in the Lord. They knew they would lose the fight in their dispensation and yet they still fought on. He told us it's because they saw us missionaries right there in the MTC and he knew that they would see us and say "Finally, It will work" so they continued to carry on the Lords work. They knew that this last dispensation would work! I am grateful for people's sacrifices for me and now I am here trying to give back. He also said that Missionary work isn't another "life" that I am not going to go back to my "real life" in two years. This is our real life! and after this we will probably not do anything more important probably some stuff equally important but just as important. I love Elder Holland! Anyways besides that Tagalog is coming along in baby steps. The gift of tongues isn't something I have so strongly haha! So far I can say basic greeting conversations and than I can pray, and I can kind of bare my testimony. I am learning sentence structuring so maybe now I can speak Tagalog. But the language is a lot of memorization based stuff and I suck at memorizing but I guess every language has that kind of feature. Anyways I Miss the world so much! But I love the spirit in the MTC and I sometimes wish I would never leave it! We heard about what the Philippines is like from my teacher. I am so excited! The food sounds SOOOO good! Also I just can't wait to escape! haha just kidding! but One thing I would like to say is if anyone has sent me a letter from Dear Elder I'm not sure if your return address is on it or not so if you were expecting a letter and you didn't get one that might be why! haha Well it's been a good P-Day! Mahal Kita World (Love YA)

MTC!
Hey I made it into the MTC! I wasn't sure if I was gonna make it because I'm an emotional baby! Luckily though the second I got here I was just super happy to be here! The MTC has been great! besides the lack of sleep and the language ... which is most of it! But I really love it here! I am so tired and frustrated though. Tagalog is a language unlike any other. It has Spanish roots so I always want to say Spanish words! But it is nothing like Spanish! Also it is just so out of my element! But I am picking it up slowly and I really like it! My companions name is Elder Alvarez Portillo and he is an El Salvadorian Australian! haha he speaks two languages already but now he has to learn a third so he is a great man! haha It's funny though because he sometimes gets really nervous about what he is going to say in Tagalog and he sometimes just looks at me for support/ to tell him what he is going to say. The problem is ... I never know the word either so we just sit there awkwardly. We are teaching an investigator who only speaks Tagalog here! It is so hard because I have no idea what she is saying! I also can't say anything in Tagalog so we sometimes just sit there giving each other weird looks! But I really love her and plus she’s 21 and kinda cute! haha joking!!! but kind of serious too! haha Anyways I think she will be baptized because I know that the spirit has testified to her that this is true. I am so glad the spirit has been here. I finally have seen how the spirit works and how it can speak to me. Our 2nd lesson with our investigator kind of went sour because we were so focused on the language. I decided to teach by the spirit instead our 3rd time seeing her. It really made a huge difference and with the help of my district we are optimistic about her conversion. Anyways My district is great! They are like my new family and they have really helped me through the hard times! Especially with staying awake.. I know i have said this but I AM SOO SLEEPY! haha P day I took a nap and it was like a miracle! I love NAPS! well I have to run! Love ya
